Jennifer E. Lepore

Jennifer Ellen (Delage) Lepore, aged 50, of Hopkinton passed away peacefully on October 12 after a 5 year long battle with Breast Cancer.  Born on July 12, 1974 in Providence, Jennifer grew up with her loving family in West Warwick, was the daughter of William and Andrea Delage alongside her brother Bill and sister Marnie. She was married to her husband Christopher Lepore for 17 years raising their daughter Genevieve, age 15.

As a child, she was known for her beautiful blonde hair. She looked so much like her Aunt Lorraine that she was given the nickname Little Lorraine. Other nicknames included Jenny Pie, but most people simply knew her as Jenny.  She loved her Barbie dolls and was infatuated with the character Ernie from Sesame Street. Her favorite place was in or near the water, whether it be at the beach or in the swimming pool.

In her adult life, Jenny dedicated 23 years of service to the State of Rhode Island, recently working in the division of taxation, where her determination and care free spirit made her a beloved colleague. In 2004, she met the love of her life Christopher Lepore and they married in 2007. Their family became complete in 2009 with the birth of their daughter Genevieve, whom she loved with all her heart. Her passion for life was evident through her various hobbies. Jenny loved great food and wine, traveling and spending time with her family, staying active through exercise, and decorating her home and office for different seasons, bringing joy and beauty into her surroundings.

She was a courageous cancer fighter, always facing it head on with a smile while maintaining her sense of humor.  Her selfless nature was instilled by her mother Andrea, and was a trait that she would carry throughout her entire life. Jenny’s loving and funny personality, especially her laugh, will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She leaves behind her husband, Christopher Lepore; daughter, Genevieve Lepore; parents, Andrea and William Delage Jr.; brother, William Delage III; sister, Marnie Connor and her husband William and her niece Izzy Connor. Jennifer's presence in their lives was a source of happiness and inspiration.  Her life was a testament to the power of positivity, importance of faith, and the love of family. Jenny’s legacy of love and laughter will forever be cherished by those she touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday October 18th at 10:00 am at St. Gregory the Great Church, Cowesett Rd., Warwick. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours: Thursday October 17th from 4-7 pm in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. In lieu of flowers donations in Jenny’s name may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation www.BCRF.org
