Joan Ann (Sullivan) Murray

83, a lifelong resident of Providence, Rhode Island passed away May 17th 2016 surrounded by her loving family at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry F. Murray, Jr. Born in Providence on October 22, 1932  daughter of the late Thomas and Cecelia ( Glynn) Sullivan. She is survived by her loving son Michael T. Murray and his wife Martha (Toole) of Warwick. A sister Maureen C. Farrellyand the late Kathryn T. Sullivan. Ever devoted to her Catholic faith Joan Ann  was a 1950 graduate of St. Xavier Academy. Her pride and joy were her two grandsons  Michael T. Murray Jr. and his fiancé Gillian Coyne and Philip T Murray.  Loving aunt of Colleen M. McCarthy, Thomas F. Farrelly Jr. and Maureen C. Pagliaro and many nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial will be held on  Saturday at 9 am in Saint Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence, RI to which relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-7pm in the J.F. Skeffington Chapel, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence,RI. Burial will be in Saint Patrick's Cemetery East Greenwich, RI In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her memory may be made to The Options Program- Bishop Hendricken High School, 2615 Warwick Avenue, Warwick RI 02889.
