John J. Carne

John J. Carne, 66, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (Borys) Carne for 35 years; loving father of cherished sons Daniel Edward and Michael Artur Carne; son of the late Dr. E. Bryan Carne and Joan M. (Ferry) Carne; brother of Margaret M. Feiser (John), Michael J. (Roxanne) and  Kevin J. (Lisa) Carne. He leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews, brother and sisters in law, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many loved friends from the multiple places he has called home throughout his life.

John spent his career in the Information Technology and Business Operations sectors, serving as a Chief Information Officer, Vice President, project manager, business consultant and director for a wide variety of companies located in the New England and mid-Atlantic regions as well as working internationally on their behalf. He worked primarily to integrate technologies into existing business processes to modernize them and improve the quality of their operations. Towards the end of his career, he took an interest in mentorship, teaching a course on project management at Bristol Community College and assisting multiple small businesses in developing into more successful companies through the Rhode Island SCORE program.

John loved his Catholic faith, his work, his Fairfield University and Connecticut Yankees Rugby teams, his Boston sports teams, but mostly his family. Of all he held dear, being Dan and Mike’s father topped the list.

Rest in peace, John Carne, rest in peace. We love you and we will miss you.
