John J. Cianciolo

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John J. Cianciolo, who passed away peacefully on January 9th, 2025. He was 78 years old. Born on December 9th, 1946, John was the beloved son of Janet and Augustus Cianciolo. He grew up in Warwick, RI. In 1969, he wed Christine (Crowley) and they shared 55 years of marriage residing in East Greenwich.

A proud member of the National Guard, John was a dedicated entrepreneur, known for his craftsmanship and fellowship amongst those in the industry. John was passionate about golf and music and had a remarkable talent for creating and repairing just about everything. He was up at the crack of dawn on a daily basis and was ready, as long as it kept him moving and achieving something meaningful. John will be remembered for his kindness, quick wit, and giving the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

John is survived by his wife Christine, son Michael, daughter Jennifer (husband Steve), brother David (partner Ibby), brother Murray (wife Brenda), grandchildren Alexandra, Coral and Jake, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Virginia and his parents Janet and Augustus.

Visitation  will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm in the Hill – Skeffington Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. His funeral and burial will be private.
