John M. Degiulio, Jr.

John M. DeGiulio, Jr. 55 of East Greenwich passed away September 26, 2016. Born in Providence he was a son of John M. and Lillian (Connelly) DeGiulio.

He was a graduate of Mount Ida College Optical School and the graphic design program at Kansas State University and Toll Gate High School in Warwick. He was proud serving in the US Army and received commendations, one of which was being nominated as United States Soldier of the Year.

John enjoyed golfing, boating, skiing and mostly wrestling, serving as Head Varsity Coach for Lincoln High School. He also was a coach for the Lincoln youth Soccer Association and was an usher at Our Lady of Mercy Church, East Greenwich.

Besides his parents he is survived by daughters Giana A. DeGiulio and Carisa A. Connell; brothers Michael J. DeGiulio and Gerald T. DeGiulio, Sr. (Jane); niece Kendra M. Hamzo (Ervin); nephews Nikolas M, Gerlad T., Jr., Mitchell J and Joseph J. DeGiulio and great nephew Lucas E. Hamzo.

Funeral Monday, October 3rd at 9:00am from the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours: Sunday, October 2nd 2-5pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Association.
