John C. Shaw

age 48, residence Warwick, died peacefully after his battle with cancer on Sunday, August 18th 2019 at Kent County Hospital with his friends and family by his side. Mr. Shaw worked for Rhyda Tire for several years and has worked hard all his life since the age of 13. Mr. Shaw was a die hard New England Patriots fan. He was know for his martial arts and boxing in his earlier years. He enjoyed his weekend football games with his cousins. He is survived by a son Austin Shaw, and a step-son Zerek Harrison, as well as five step-daughters, Kayla Fontaine, Julie Monterio, Amanda Monterio, Nicole Monterio and Holly Monterio. He was survived by one brother, James Shaw, one late brother, Joe Shaw, and two sisters Barbara and Shania Shaw. He also leaves behind his Best Friend mother of his child Shanon Dalton, and Girl friend Marie Isabel. His wake will be held on Saturday August 24, 2019 from 4-7pm in the J.F. Skeffington Funeral Home. Donations to his funeral expenses can be made directly to the funeral home in his memory.
