Joyce A. Hamilton

Joyce A. (Fiske) Hamilton, 84, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 in Leander, TX.  She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Kenneth L. Hamilton, Sr.; her children, Holly Briggs and her husband Norman, Nancy Robinson and her husband Oren and Kenneth, Jr. and his wife Deborah; her grandchildren:  Stephanie Hill and Shaun Briggs, Jason and Jarred Robinson, Jessica White and Justin Hamilton; her great grandchildren:  Logan and Sophia Parmenter, Kate and Audrey Hill, Alexis, Kyle and Dylan Briggs, Aidan and Olivia Robinson and Alexia White.  She also leaves siblings, Leslie and Charles Fiske.  She was a daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Johnson) Fiske and the sister of the late Pearl Morton.

Joyce was a longtime resident of East Greenwich before moving to Naples, FL and Leander, TX.  She worked in the East Greenwich Public School System in the cafeteria and at Allies Donuts.  She was member of the Rocky Hill Grange, the East Greenwich Police Department Ladies Auxiliary and had been a 4-H leader. In the summer, she enjoyed camping at Ginny B Camp Grounds in Foster, RI.  She also managed the Rocky Hill Fair Grounds Restaurant during the month of August.

Along with her many attributes, Joyce will be remembered as a wonderful cook and baker.  All of her grandchildren loved their very special Birthday Pie and everyone who knew her loved her baked macaroni and cheese, chocolate chip cookies and zucchini bread.

Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 30 ^th at 10:00AM at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich.  Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, East Greenwich.  Calling hours:  Sunday, July 29 ^th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, RI Chpter.
