Kelly Ann Headen (35) unexpectedly passed away Sunday May 26, 2024. Kelly is survived by her son Wayne and her partner Tim Casala. She is also survived by her father Ronald Headen and her sisters Gwen Oppert and Erin Jones, nephews Tim, Andrew, Kiernan, Rhys and Giovanni as well as four grandchildren Aliyah, Lincoln, Hudson and Hazel.
Kelly was born and raised in Rhode Island as the youngest of three girls. She had a love for the ocean and often enjoyed spending her free time at Charlestown Breachway. Family was everything to Kelly. You could always find her crafting gifts for her nephews, throwing parties for every one by the pool, and making sure holiday traditions would continue for generations to come. Her greatest and most proud accomplishment, though, was becoming a mother and no one was more important to her, than her son Wayne. She quickly became a “karate mom” when Wayne joined marital arts, where just this year, Kelly got to witness him earning his Black Belt. Kelly loved her family more than anything and it showed in everything she did.
Kelly worked in Retail Management for many years where she built countless relationships. She was often looked at as the one that would step in and help anywhere, she was needed. People who met Kelly along the way would comment on her warm and bubbly personality, charming wit and never-ending work ethic. She became not only a colleague but a friend people could rely on and confide in.
Although her time here was short, she left and imprint on everyone she met and everything she did. Kelly was loved and will be forever missed.
Calling hours will be held on Monday June 3rd from 4-7 pm in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. Her funeral and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
