Kenneth R. Swanson, 90, passed away peacefully on September 8th at the Elmhurst Rehabilitation Center.
A life-long resident of Providence where he graduated from Mt Pleasant High School, he served in the Korean War in both the Army and Navy. After the war he took a job at Electric Boat where he worked for over 30 years. During his retirement days he began to build furniture and he kept himself busy by doing odd jobs for family and friends.
He was the son of the late Edwin and Mildred ( Bucklin) Swanson.
He was the brother of the late Russell Swanson, Virginia Durham and Constance Swanson.
He leaves behind six nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid concerns the services are private. He will be laid to rest at St Ann Cemetery Cranston.
Arrangements entrusted to J.F. Skeffington Funeral Home and Cremations, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence.
