Kevin P. Galligan

Kevin P. Galligan, 75, passed away November 26, 2024. Born in Newport he was a son of the late Christopher E. and Elizabeth E. (Cumming) Galligan.

He was a US Navy veteran serving three tours in Viet Nam.  He was guitar player who had a lifelong love of music,  and was an avid New England sports fan. Kevin was a free spirit who made friends everywhere he went.

The family would like to thank West View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Eden Hospice for their loving care.

He is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Doiron (the late Roger Doiron) and Christine Lamoureux (Richard Lamoureux); six nieces and nephews, Dayle Doiron, Terence Doiron, Richard Lamoureux, Jr., Roger Doiron, II, Michelle Fonda and Nicole Wooten. He was the brother of the late Michael Galligan.

Committal prayers with military honors will be held on Monday December 2nd at 1:00 pm in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to the West View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center – Activities Fund, 239 Legris Ave., West Warwick, RI 02893.
