Linda M. Tessitore

Linda M. Tessitore, 69, passed away May 22, 2024. Born in Quonset Point, she was a daughter of the late Ervin B. and Floy “Dixie” (Maxwell) Gross.

A lifetime resident of North Kingstown, RI, Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and adoring grandmother. She was thoughtful, enthusiastic and radiated a warmth that felt like sunshine. Linda was a helper, always willing to volunteer her time and magic to the ones she loved. Whether she was supporting a surgeon, managing a banquet staff, or organizing with the PTO, Linda was always in service to others. She had a knack for making things beautiful and delicious, and a habit of making people feel appreciated.  She was a loyal sister, a dedicated friend and a faithful Catholic who was endlessly committed to the ones she loved. Linda was generous with her joy and had a zest for life.

She is survived by her two children Courtney Walsh (married to Timothy Walsh, children Parker (10) and Felix (8) and live in Casco, ME) and Nicholas Tessitore (married to Elizabeth Tessitore and live in Bristol, RI), as well as her 'other daughter' (niece) Lindsay Solomon, her lifelong spouse Louis Tessitore Jr, and two sisters Sandra Yim and Gloria Solomon.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday June 21st at 10:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Church, School St., North Kingstown. Burial will be private.  Calling hours; Thursday June 20th will be held from 4-7 pm in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. The family asks that guest wear color-filled joyful clothing as they celebrate Linda’s life and legacy.
