Lois A. Busby, 70, of East Greenwich, passed away November 10, 2016. She was the wife of the late George H. Busby and the former wife of Kevan W. Forden.
Lois was a perennial gardening genius and tea enthusiast who touched the lives of many, particularly mentally handicapped children for whom she was a caretaker at the L. Arthur Trudeau Center. Lois enjoyed sailing and was an avid reader who dabbled in landscape and interior design. In her younger years she rode horses and went wilderness camping with her kids. On top of all that, she was years ahead of the trend as an amateur farm-to-table chef.
She is survived by her children: Melinda A. Aceto, Pamela A. Turner and her husband Kevin, Noah P. Forden and his wife Brenda, Seth L.D. Forden and his fiancé Carolyn Crews and Alicia H. Soboda and her husband David; 5 grandchildren: Joseph A. Aceto, Aidan J. Turner, Ella N. Turner, Lucy Turner and Olivia G. Rathbun, a brother David P. Weindel and longtime partner Jon Choiniere.
Funeral Service Monday, November 14th at 10:00am at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. Burial will be in East Greenwich Cemetery, East Greenwich. Calling hours: Sunday, November 13th 4-6pm.
