Lorena M. Davey

peacefully passed away at the age of 92 on Monday, May 6, 2019. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Francis X. and Mary C. (Cody) Roy. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Davey, Sr. and mother of the late Charles J. Davey, Jr. and Mary-Katherine DiPrete. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Patricia M. Davey and her husband, Franco DiDomenico, her devoted grandchildren Anthony C. DiDomenico, Luke C. DiDomenico, Shealyn A. Davey, Lindsey Ponte, and Charlotte Mae Van Tassell, her great grandsons Andrew Goulet and James Van Tassell, and her beloved daughter-in-law, Lisa M. Davey. Lorena was loved by many and she, in return, was a mother figure to her “honorary daughters”. She would want them to be named here because of her deep affection for them. Lorena also leaves behind Shannon E. Chandley, Jane M. Chandley, Christine Chandley Fish, Pamela A. King, Melissa L. Shein, and Joan Bustamante Alexander. A wake will be held on May 10, 2019 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, with a short service following, at the J.F. Skeffington Funeral Home and Chapel on Chalkstone Avenue in Providence.
