M. Theresa Magner

M. Theresa (Gamache) Magner formally of East Greenwich, RI and Brewster, MA passed away on June 7th after a brief illness. Terry, as she was affectionately known to her friends and family, was predeceased in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Edmond P. Magner. Born in Pascoag, RI, Terry was the daughter of the late Henry and Viola (Desmaris) Gamache.

She is survived by two children, Jean A. Cloutier of Agawam, Mass, and James C. Magner of Framingham, her loving daughter-in-law Martha Magner, and her grandson, James C. Magner, Jr.

Terry enjoyed summers in Brewster, Winter in Naples, FL as well as her home base in East Greenwich. Terry was an accomplished bridge player and won a number of tournaments with her many partners. She was also an avid reader.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Genesis/Kent Nursing Home for their wonderful and loving care.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday June 16th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, East Greenwich. Calling hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the East Greenwich Free Library or to the Brewster Ladies Library.
