Mafalda A . Jackvony, “Muffy” 95, of Saint Elizabeth Home Green Houses, East Greenwich, and formerly of Warwick, passed away October 31, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late, Vincent J. Jackvony. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Victor, Sr. and Anna (Pettella) Primavera.
Muffy was a longtime resident of Warwick (the Governor Francis Farms section) and moved to Florida for a time before returning to Rhode Island. Over the past years she lived at The Season’s and most recently at St. Elizabeth Community in East Greenwich.
Muffy was a homemaker and was a kind, gentle, loving woman with a great sense of elegance and fashion. She had a surprising sense of humor that was unexpected at times. Her fondest memories were spending time with her children and friends. She was a former member of the Alpine Country Club in Cranston. She was an avid shopper and loved clothes, interior decorating and beautiful things. She would never leave home without being well dressed.
She is survived by her loving children; her son, Robert V. Jackvony and his wife Pamela (Saccoccia) of Cranston and her daughter, Karyn A. Jackvony of West Warwick. She was the step grandmother to Christopher Lepore and his wife Jennifer and the step great grandmother to their daughter, Genevieve of Bradford. She was step grandmother to Joseph Lepore and his wife Christine of New Hampshire. She was the dear sister of Victor Primavera, Jr. and his late wife Rose; the dear sister of the late Frances Calise and her late husband Frank and sister of the late Thomasina Primavera.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, November 9 th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours: Thursday, November 8 th 5-8pm at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Elizabeth Community Home, One St. Elizabeth Way, East Greenwich, RI 02818.
