Marcelle M. Hart died October 7, 2020
Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late William and Emelda (Rousseau) Betty. Marcelle was a life long Rhode Islander.
She worked as a banker at the Quanset Naval Air Station for 15 years until it closed in 1972. She also worked as a CVS store manager in Providence before becoming employed at Stanley Bostich Company until her retirement 25 years later.
She enjoyed home decorating, gourmet cooking, flowers arranging and day trips around New England. She was an avid reader of historical and political novels and biographies. She was an independent thinker and genuinely enjoyed interacting with people. She could talk anyone into betting a quarter on a Sunday football game.
Marcelle was a kind and compassionate woman with a boundless heart. We will miss her.
Marcelle leaves a son, Will Hart of Cumberland, a daughter Marcella Joyce Hannon and her husband William of North Kingstown. Their sons, CPT. Michael Hannon, US ARMY, of CA and Christopher Hannon of North Kingstown. She also leaves great grandchildren; Ellason, Irelynn and Jamisyn Hannon and sisters; Jeannette Gilbert and her husband Edwin of Attleboro, MA, Anne Dussault and her husband Robert of Pawtucket and Bernadette Jean and her husband Raymond of Lincoln.
She was predeceased by her siblings; Richard Beatty, Rene Beatty, Yvette Betty and Aline Machala.
Because of the Corona Virus, the funeral will be private. There will be a Mass for Marcelle at a later date.
Donations in Marcelle's name, made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 964 Main St., Pawtucket, RI 02860, would be greatly appreciated, so they may continue their immensely compassionate work with the elderly.
