Margaret A. Kirk

Margaret A. Kirk

Margaret Anne Kirk of North Kingstown, RI, graduated to her heavenly reward on March 24, 2018. She was 62.

Margaret was born on January 8, 1956 and was the daughter of the late Edgar S. and the late Ollie Anderson Kirk. She grew up in West Warwick and attended the West Warwick public schools. She worked for Kent Hospital in Warwick for more than 35 years. Margaret was an active member of Stony Lane Baptist Church in North Kingstown, where she touched many lives with her great kindness, generosity, and faith. She unabashedly loved the Lord Jesus. She could often be heard praying aloud during the day and well into the night, daily spent time reading the Bible, and regularly shared the love of Jesus with others.

Margaret loved crafts, creating many original paintings and T-shirts, and knitting hanger-covers. She enjoyed cooking and doing jigsaw puzzles. She loved animals, both family pets and wildlife. She would often feed birds, rabbits and deer in her family’s yard in North Kingstown, as well as bringing gifts and treats to pets of friends and family. Margaret will always be remembered for her wit, love of music (particularly the Beatles), TV shows (especially Perry Mason), and movies (she had a huge collection of DVDs and VCR tapes), her word-associations and rhyming, and perhaps most of all, her gregarious personality.

Margaret leaves behind her loving family: her siblings, Susan, Peter, Elizabeth, and Andrea; her niece Holly and nephews Benjamin, Joshua, and Eric; her grand-niece Emma and grand-nephew Timothy; and her beloved friends, Gail and Wayne.

Interment of cremains will be on Saturday, April 7 at 11AM at the Glenwood Cemetery, 316 Cedar Avenue, East Greenwich, RI.
