Mary E. Fitzgerald

53, of 2 Stony Brook Drive, Saratoga Springs, New York, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Brigham and Women's Hospital Boston. She was the wife of Vincent Prattico III, born in Providence a daughter of Margaret S. (Sheviln) Fitzgerald and the late James R. Fitzgerald. Mary had attended Jacksonville State University. She was a board member of the Christian Brothers Academy Albany, NY and a former VP of Christian Brothers Academy Mothers Club and a volunteer at various charities including the Little Sisters of the Poor. Surviving besides her husband are two sons Vincent J. and Nicholas J. Prattico, two brothers James J. and John S. Fitzgerald and the late Kevin M. Fitzgerald. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston on Monday at 10am to which relatives and friends are invited. A graveside burial will be in St Ann Cemetery. Visiting hours in the J.F. SKEFFINGTON CHAPEL, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence on Sunday from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
