Michael "Mike" D. Jacob, of Woonsocket, RI passed away peacefully after a long illness on January 24, 2022 with his beloved wife, Laura (Casey) Jacob, by his side. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Jacob Sr. He is survived by his mother, Theresa (Benjamin) Jacob and his siblings, Gerald Jacob Jr and his wife Janet of Pawtucket, RI; Claudette Hurst and her husband James of Jacksonville, FL; Roland Jacob and his wife Cynthia of Coventry, RI; Raymond Jacob and his wife Linda of Fairfield, ME; Robert Jacob of Greenville, TN; and Janet Jacob of Greenville, TN. He is also survived by his children Katherine Paiva and her husband Kevin of Riverside, RI, Kerri-Anne Jacob of Pawtucket, Rl and their mother, his former wife, Sandra Jacob of Pawtucket, RI; Corey Lussier of Woonsocket, RI; Samantha Lussier of Woonsocket, RI; and Alena Jacob of Woonsocket, RI. He was a proud Pepere to Cody, Ryan, and Addyson Paiva and Austin and Jayden Jacob. He was also a loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews. In his early years, Michael was a proud member of the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam Era. Prior to becoming ill, he was employed at Autocrat in Lincoln, RI. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and watching the Boston Bruins and Nascar. He was an avid fisherman before the illness took over and especially enjoyed the times he would spend fishing with his late friend Frank "Hobo" Holobowicz. Arrangements entrusted to the J.F. Skeffington Funeral Home & Cremations, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence. A memorial and celebration of his life will take place on Monday, February 7th from 10am-Noon at the funeral home.
