Michael Patrick Mulvey passed peacefully on January 26, 2023 into the arms of the Lord. He was born on August 5, 1948 the beloved son of the late Thomas & Thelma Mulvey.
Mike was a lifelong resident of North Kingstown. He graduated from North Kingstown High School in 1966, New England School of Broadcasting in Boston and later Johnson & Wales College.
Mike was a devout Catholic and a long time communicant of St Francis de Sales Catholic Church. He loved being involved and was so proud of his church, he was a man of great faith. The family would like to thank all those that helped our brother maintain a connection to his community throughout his final years. A special thank you to Mrs. Anne McCarthy who was a true friend in faith to Mike through all the years and worked hard to make sure that he felt included at the church during his final years at the nursing home.
Mike was an avid Celtics, Red Sox, & Patriots fan and took pride in his vast sports collection. He enjoyed many years attending the local PawSox games and was one of the few remaining fans at the stadium for “The Longest Game” in 1981.
Mike leaves his three sisters, Gwendolyn Baker (Lawrence), Patricia Frost (Jack) & Deborah Moss (Thomas). Two sisters in law Mary Mulvey (late Thomas) & Barbara Mulvey (late Timothy). He also was the loving uncle to many nieces & nephews and always enjoyed hearing about their lives.
He was the brother of the late Thomas, Martin, James & Timothy Mulvey, Barbara Beebe, Joanne Rodgers, & Pauline Mulvey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday January 31 st at 11:00 am at St Francis de Sales Church, 381 School St., North Kingstown Burial will be private.
