Michelina Capobianco

92, passed away at her home in Providence on Wednesday August 31, 2016.  Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Carolina (Carchia) Capobianco.  Graduated from Mount Pleasant High School January 1943.  Attended URI Evening Extension Division for several years. She had worked as an executive bookkeeper for Chilton Credit.  She was also an executive officer of NAIW and was a member of National Association of Insurance Women of RI since 1964.  She served as Vice President, Treasurer and chaired many other committees.  Michelina retired having worked mostly in the insurance industry.  She was a lifelong communicant of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament. Surviving is a sister Anna Capobianco with whom she lived all her life. She was a sister of the late Mary Celletti (and her husband James J.), aunt of Carolyn M. Saunders (and her husband Stephen), James J. Celletti, Jr. (and his wife Brenda), two grandnieces Heather M. and Kristen A, great great aunt of Ryan. Her funeral will be held Saturday, September 3rd at 9:00 AM from the J. F. Skeffington Chapel, 925 Chalkstone Avenue with a mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church, Academy Avenue at 10:00AM.  Visiting hours Friday 4:00 – 7:00PM. Burial will be private.Â
