77, of North Kingstown and formerly of Narragansett, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island. She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, John E. “Jack” Sullivan. Born on September 9, 1937 in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Amie J. and Lillian (Demers) Paulhus. Mickie was a proud graduate of St. Claire High School, Woonsocket, and College of New Rochelle, New York. Mickie was a communicant of St. Veronica Chapel, Narragansett and a former communicant of Christ the King Parish, Kingston. An avid bridge player and golfer, she was a former member of Potowomut Golf Club, Bear Lakes Country Club, West Palm Beach, and Newport National Golf Club. A regular beach-goer, Mickie was also a member of Bonnet Shores Beach Club. She was the beloved mother of four children; John E. “Jay”, Assistant Attorney General, of Narragansett and his wife Kathleen Kelly, Beth Ann Farrell of Saunderstown and her husband Mark, Timothy J. of Coventry, and his wife Sue and Amy S. Creed of Saunderstown and her husband William. Mickie cherished her eight grandchildren who loved her dearly, they include Matthew, Casey, Kiley, Jack, Mackenzie, Michaela, William, and Peter. Mickie also leaves behind many dear family and friends from RI, CT, NJ, and FL. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 10am in St. Veronica Chapel, 1035 Boston Neck Road, Narragansett. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4-8pm in The Cranston-Murphy Funeral Home, 140 W. Main Street, Wickford, RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
