Nancy J. Gizzarelli

Nancy Jane (Steiner) Gizzarelli, 82, of Warwick, Rhode Island, passed away on September 12, 2025. Born in Providence, RI, on July 24, 1943, to the late Phillip E. and Beatrice V. (Jacobellis) Steiner. Wife of Gilbert Gizzarelli for 59 years and survived by her daughters, Tracy Anderson and her husband, Glenn, and Amy Moore. Her grandchildren: Sasha McKennett, and her husband, Donny, (their children: Owen and Cole), Kyla, and Jadyn Moore. She is the oldest of four; Phillip, Jane, and Barbara Steiner. In addition, she leaves behind her fur babies, Rosie and Gracie.

Nancy was the very definition of a momma bear and the loudest cheerleader for her girls in all their chosen activities. Later in life, she became an even louder supporter of her granddaughters.

She was a woman who took immense pride in her family while quietly caring for others—both people and animals. Many holidays were spent gathered around the table in her home, and sooner or later, someone would quietly whisper to the person next to them, “Who is that?” Nancy often invited a wandering soul to join the family dinner.

She cheered for those less fortunate, offering food, a car ride, money, a listening ear, advice—and always, a hug. She was a selfless soul who found joy in seeing others happy, because your happiness was her happiness.

We are going to miss our head cheerleader, our mom, but not the lessons she taught us. Those remain with us forever.

Funeral service Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 1:30 pm in the Fagan – Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE HILL – SKEFFINGTON FUNERAL HOME OF EAST GREENWICH. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:30 am -1:30 pm.
