Nathaniel Jerry Crumby II, 48 years old, of 65 Newark St, Providence RI left this earth to begin his new journey on August 31, 2021.Â
Jerry was born to Nathaniel Jerry "Tony" Crumby and Gwendolyn Ryles-Crumby on September 22, 1972 in Virginia Beach, VA. An independent and talented personality from birth, Jerry was an excellent student, athlete, and participant of JROTC. Being who he was, variety was a must in Jerry's life.
After he completed his senior year at Roger's High School in Newport RI, one of his many employments was truck driving where he gained an appreciation of all the U.S. has to offer.
Jerry also was an amazing chef at some of the most amazing locations in Rhode Island such as Scales and Shells, The Deck, Sodexo, The Newport Winery, Brick Alley Pub, Kirkbrae Country Club and Five Guys Burgers and Fries.
Jerry was also a writer, musician, artist, heavy metal connoisseur and the lover of family and friends. He was selfless and humble, passionate, honest and diligent. He loved deeply, he was slow to give or take offense and his soul's depth was only preceded by the brightness of his smile.
In April, 2017, Nathaniel Jerry Crumby II was diagnosed with the debilitating disease known as A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig's Disease). He and his lovely wife Julie struggled with his ailments for 3 1/2 years then finally... peacefully, N. Jerry Crumby II passed away in his sleep while laying in his bed with his beloved beside him and a smile on his face.
Jerry is preceded by his wife Julie Crumby, sister Theeta Crumby, niece LeSheanna Crumby and mother Gwendolyn Crumby. Jerry has requested cremation and that his ashes be spread in dedicated locations across the U.S. He will be in our hearts, dearly missed and forever remembered.
At the families behest all services will be private.
