Nino Anibale Silvestri

Nino A. Silvestri, 97 years old Passed away on May 5, 2026 at 11:00 pm. Born on December 10, 1928 in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of Giuseppe and Maria Philomena (Fiore) Silvestri, he is survived by his loving daughter, Kathleen G. Silvestri, son, David N. Silvestri and his wife, Terri, and his beloved pet, Max.

A retired head custodian at Gilbert Stuart Middle School and George J. West Elementary School, Nino was also a barber in Providence for over sixty years before retirement.

Nino loved music, movies, tennis, swimming and dining out with friends and family. Sociable and quick-witted, he could always be counted on to tell a funny joke or an interesting story.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Augustine Church 20 Old Road Providence, RI Tuesday May 12, 2026 at 10 am. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery Cranston. In lieu of flowers donation can be make in Nino's memory to Rhode Island Animal Medical Center, Warwick, Rhode Island 343 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, RI 02888
