Oren L. Robinson

Oren L. Robinson age 75 passed away September 13th, 2025 at home after a short illness in East Greenwich, RI with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 53 years to Nancy M. (Hamilton) Robinson. He is survived by his sons Jason Robinson and Jarred Robinson and his wife Melissa, his grandchildren Aiden and Olivia Robinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Clara Mae (DePew) Robinson, his brothers Ralph and Joseph Robinson, sisters Minnie and Bonita Robinson, as well as his mother and father-in-law Kenneth and Joyce (Fiske) Hamilton. He leaves his brother Charles and wife Georgina Robinson, sister Martha and husband Juan Avila, sister Alice Cole, sister-in-law Holly Briggs and brother-in-law Kenneth Hamilton Jr. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Oren was a graduate of Cashmere High School in Washington. After high school Oren went in to the Navy. When his time in the Navy was done Oren traveled to see his brother Joseph and stayed in Rhode Island.

Oren worked at East Greenwich Oil as a service technician, General Dynamic Electric Boat as a pipe fitter and ended his career with Woods Heating and Cooling as a service technician.

Oren loved attending all sporting events for his sons Jason and Jarred and grandchildren Aiden and Olivia. The family was involved in BMX Bike racing traveling to many states to compete on races.

Both Oren and Nancy retired in June 2016. They took vacations every year traveling to all states except Alaska.

Funeral service Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Urquhart – Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE HILL – SKEFFINGTON FUNERAL HOME OF EAST GREENWICH. Burial with military honors will be in Glenwood Cemetery, East Greenwich. Calling hours: Friday, September 19, 2025 from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Heart Association, www.heart.org  in memory of Oren Robinson.
