Paul Listro

Paul Listro, age 94, of Narragansett, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30th at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. He was the husband of Emily "Lee" Listro for 57 years. Paul was a graduate of West Point and a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Army. He also graduated from Babson College (MBA) and URI (MPA), taught ROTC at Providence College, and was a professor at CCRI for 25 years. Paul was a master gardener, a gourmet cook, and a voracious reader. Besides his wife Lee, he is survived by his three children: Susanne Listro and her husband Ted Wellman; Lisa Listro, her husband Joel Sward, and their two sons, Phoenix and Griffin; and Matthew Listro, his wife Joanne (Noel) Listro, and their two children, Julia and John. Paul was the son of Joseph and Rose Listro, the brother of Joseph F. Listro and the late Sally Listro. Due to COVID-19, there will be no calling hours. The funeral mass at Saint Veronica’s Church on Monday, October 5th at 11:00am will be private but live-streamed at https://livestream.com/stm The burial will also be private.
