Pauline Laforge passed away at Kent Regency Nursing & Rehab after a long fight with multiple illnesses. She was the daughter of the late Emile and Florence Duval of Central Falls RI. She was the devoted wife of CW4 Albert Edward Laforge of the US Army and RI National Guard (Uncle Bee to his family).
Born in Central Falls, she is survived by her sister Louise Pado of Valley Falls, three daughters, Joyce Laforge of Cranston, Christine Pezzullo (and her husband Vincent) of Johnston, Audrey Laforge of North Kingstown and nephew William Alger of Warren as well as many nieces and nephews from all over RI and CT.
She was Memere to everyone who knew her but especially to her grandchildren whom she adored each in their own way, Tanya Gaulin and her husband Tim, Amanda Saunders and her husband Rich, Vincent Pezzullo Jr., Charlotte DeFazio and partner Misha, Joseph Pezzullo, Chad Laforge and her great grandchildren Dean Gaulin, Drea Gaulin, Americo DeFazio, Travis Saunders and Baby girl Saunders with an expected arrival in June. She has special people in her life that she considered “adopted children”, John DiRaimo, Carol Rochon, Carrie Verdone and Frank Ciano.
She was predeceased by her son Robert Emile Laforge and three daughters, Joan Marie Laforge, Marie Laforge and Baby Laforge who she lost shortly after birth.
She was also predeceased by her loving sister “in law” Rita Turner whom she truly loved like a sister, three brothers whom she adored, Alfred Duval, Eugene Duval and Leo Duval and nieces Nancy Tanner and husband Ed Tanner and Barbara Dallaire.
Pauline also had many four legged loves in her life, BoJangles, TJ, Teamo, Max, Nova, Park, Rosie, Lexie, Buddy, Bandit and Chase.
Pauline's passion in addition to family was BALLROOM DANCING! Her family called her the Dancing Queen. She was a great baker and a wonderful cook and was very big on tradition. She also loved fashion.
She also enjoyed daily walks at the mall with coffee hour and yoga. She had many wonderful friends who would go out of their way to pick her up to join them for these activities. She loved to have fun and she loved to laugh.
She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Parish. Visiting hours are omitted per Pauline's request; Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 23 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Parish, 237 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston, RI 02920. Burial service will be in the future.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Kent Regency Nursing and Rehab for their excellent care and compassion.
