Peter Ives Crosby of Ledge St., Providence, beloved son of Melanie (Crosby) Racioppi of Warwick and the late Edward G. Crosby, Jr., passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on March 23rd. He was born on Dec. 4, 1968 in Warwick. He was the grandson of the late Edward G & Elizabeth Powel Crosby of Newport and the late Leland Edward Gibbs of Rome NY and the late Dorothy G Eichhorn of Reading, Pa. He is survived by his loving sister Wendy E Crosby of Troy, Va. his beloved daughter Chloe Ann Crosby-Kuiee of North Kingstown and son Joao Crosby-Costa of Lisbon, Portugal. Also his cousins Melissa Black, Timothy, Phillip, Andrew & Matthew Black, his Aunt Lisa Eichhorn, uncles Stephen and Jeffrey Eichhorn and cousins Jesse, Jeremy, Emily, Justin & Brieanna Eichhorn and Emily Eichhorn-Nye. Also, Magill and Jesse Morgan.

He graduated from Toll Gate High School in 1987 and began working as a cook/chef soon traveling to Florida for the winters and back to RI or Maine for the summers. He bought a 1964 Ford Econoline van and lovingly restored it often camping in it and becoming a member of a vanning community. He drove it across country and down thru parts of Mexico and back and travelled down thru Central America as far as Panama. He travelled a few times to Portugal and once to Spain and Morocco. He crewed one summer on an Alaskan Cruise line and went down the Columbia River.

The past 2 years or so he began by volunteering at St. Luke’s Church where he added to his family. He had grown up here as a child and made many new friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Luke’s Church, 99 Peirce St. East Greenwich, on Friday, April 1st at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Crossroads, RI would be gratefully appreciated
