Peter O. Marion

Peter Oliver Marion, 70, of North Kingstown and formerly of Wickford and Cowesett, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2018. He is survived by his loving children, Julie (Marion) Pearson-Reilly and husband Jay, of East Greenwich, and Mathew Marion, and wife Dee Dee, of North Kingstown. He had five adoring grandchildren, Jack, Gwen, Charlotte, Monica, and Meadow. He was the dear brother of Pamela Marion, and deceased brother, James Marion. He was the uncle to Michael Walter, James Walter and Kaliegh (Marion) Tallman. He was formerly married to Janice(Tramonti) Marion for 42 years.

Peter lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed many fun-loving summers boating and playing tennis during his childhood on Duck Cove. He was a lifelong member at the Warwick Heights Tennis Club, cultivating many fond and funny memories. He started to play golf and then enjoyed over 35 years at Quidnessett Country Club, where he was happy socializing with his wide and diverse circle of friends. He began his career in the seafood industry working for Wickford Shellfish to support his young family before he went on to establish his own successful business, West Bay Imports. Over the years, he loved to travel the world with his family and close friends. Nothing made him happier though, than being surrounded by his devoted children and grandchildren. He had the most generous and thoughtful heart, and to anyone that knew him, a sense of humor that always left an impression. He was a shining example of someone who gave of himself, in whatever way he could, and who truly appreciated so many of life's blessings. There are too many stories and memories to share, but anyone that knew him, have their own special one (or more!). May he rest in eternal peace, and stay close to our hearts.

Funeral Service Friday, November 16 ^th at 11:00am at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich.  Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown.  Calling hours:  Thursday, November 15 ^th 4-8pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to a charity of your choice.
