Peter N. Monti

Peter N. Monti, 89, passed away December 17, 2017.  He was the husband of the late Gloria J. (D’Ellena) Monti.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Aniello and Clorinda (Patalano) Monti.

Mr. Monti was a Korean War Army Veteran.  He had worked as a diesel mechanic for the Former M. & M. and Red Star Express Transportation Companies.  He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and the Local #251 Teamsters.

He was an antique car enthusiast and proud owner of 1937 and 1938 Buicks.  He was a member of the Buick Club of America, the Rhode Island Rolling Rhodies and the Model T Ford Owners Club of Southern New England.

He is survived by his son Peter A. Monti and a sister Erminia Rita Lamanna and was the brother of the late Aniello “Danny” Monti.

Funeral Friday, December 22, at 9:00am from the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich.  Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich.  Entombment with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  Calling hours Thursday, December 21, 6-8pm.
