Radford L. Garbett

Radford L. Garbett 79, passed away March 12, 2019. He was the husband of the late Paula M. (Weintraub) Garbett. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Percy L. and Mae (Kirk) Garbett.

Rad owned and operated Radly J’S, a successful cleaning business for over 40 years. He previously had worked at Browne & Sharpe as a machinist.  An avid golfer, he was also a card player and a gardening enthusiast. He was a loyal New England Patriots and PC Basketball fan.

He is survived by five children: Geoffrey W. Garbett and his partner Christopher, Janis L. Blondin, Erica L. Jacobsen and husband Gunnar, Derek R. Horton and Stephanie M. Simone and husband Scott, 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, his supportive friend Karen Lee and his rescue dog Bently. He was the father of the late Gregory F. and Glenn L. Garbett and the brother of the late Gloria Henriksen.

Calling hours: Sunday March 17 ^th from 2-5 pm in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. His funeral and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Furry Angels Dachshund Rescue or to the Dana - Farber Cancer Institute.
