Richard E. Fougere

Richard E. Fougere, 71, of Johnston, passed away at home on June 14th. Born in Newport, RI, he was the son of the late Ernest and Mary (Skuce) Fougere. Richard spent his childhood in Warwick and Narragansett and attended South Kingstown High School. He served in the US Army in South Korea. After his service, Richard worked in construction and as an off shore fisherman. Richard was a music lover and a Beatles devotee. He was passionate about politics and his favorite sports team, the New England Patriots. He loved dogs, especially his beloved boxers. Richard is survived by his daughter, Tayrha L. Odom (Chris), grandchildren Hayley, Isaiah, Elijah, and Micaiah as well as his sisters Margaret Lucke of Warwick and Elizabeth Angelone (Richard) of Bluffton SC and Narragansett. He was also blessed to have many nieces and nephews. A private service will be held at the RI Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday, June 25th.
