Richard H. Sceery, Sr.

Richard H. Sceery, Sr., 93, passed away November 30, 2016. He was the husband of the late Annamae (Murphy) Sceery and is survived by his 5 children and their spouses: Mary Ann DeSista of Ashland MA, Claudia S. Divoll of Portsmouth RI, Richard H. Sceery, Jr. of Saunderstown RI , Sarah Lynn Thompson of Londonderry, NH and Christopher J. Sceery of East Greenwich RI; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He also leaves his dog and “little buddy”, Sunny.

Dick was a graduate of Trinity College and served his country in WW II as a Naval Officer. In 1982 he retired from Awkright as Vice President of Sales. Dick remained a co-owner of RH Sales, with his dear friend Kathleen Heath, and fully retired in 2014 at the age of 90. He enjoyed golf, the beach and spending time with his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, December 16 th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial with military honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Donations to Boys Town New England or East Greenwich Animal Protection League would be appreciated.
