Rita C. Mccaughey

Rita C. McCaughey, 96, passed away May 10, 2024. Born in Pawtucket she was a daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Du Plessie) McCaughey.  She lived most of her life in North Providence and most recently in East Greenwich at Anchor Bay Greenwich.

Rita is survived by her devoted son, Donald McCaughey, his wife Kristin, and two grandchildren, Francesca and Hugh McCaughey.  She is also survived by her sister, Yvonne Bungiro.  Rita was the sister of the late Claire Szylin, Francis McCaughey Jr., and James McCaughey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday May 15th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, East Greenwich.
