Robert J. Cunningham

Robert J. Cunningham, 67, of Sarasota, Florida, died suddenly Friday January 7 ^th , in Sarasota Florida.

He was a son of the late Joseph J. and Dorothy A. Cunningham, and brother to the late Patricia Cunningham. Born in Providence, he lived in Florida for the past 25 years and previously lived in East Greenwich.

Robert (Bobby) was a licensed registered nurse practitioner and certified wound care nurse. A graduate of Our Lady of Mercy School and the East Greenwich High School Class of 1973.  He was a United States Air Force veteran stationed in Italy in 1974, and graduated from URI in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

He leaves eight brothers and two sisters: Dr. Paul F. of Milford, N.H., Edward J. of Brooklyn, N.Y., William J. of West Greenwich, R.I., Ann E. Booth of Jupiter Fl., and Mary Ellen Smith of Kershaw, S.C., Mark R. of Phoenix, Ariz., Thomas M. of East Greenwich, R.I., Richard M. of Cranston, R.I., James P. of Venice, Fl., and David J. of Danielson, Conn.,

His funeral service will be held  on Friday May 27 ^th at 10:00 am at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. Burial with military honors will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Calling hours: Thursday May 26 ^th 5-7 pm.
