Robert G. Fredette

died on Monday, October 7, 2013 at his residence on River Road in Lincoln surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Erin E. Casey-Fredette. Born in Attleboro, MA, he was a son of the late Norman G. and Eleanor R. (Heger) Fredette. He was employed in finance consulting and sales in the trucking and automobile industry. He attended Bryant College and was a member of the Kirkbrae Country Club, President of the Lincoln Lions Club, and the Rhode Island Truck Owners Association. Robert was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and after serving two tours he was awarded The Bronze Star Medal, The Air Medal, The Army Commendation Medal, The National Defense Service Medal, The Vietnam Service Metal and The Vietnam Campaign Medal. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons Douglas R. (his wife, Jennifer) and Robert C. Fredette, two daughters Tara-Lynn Fredette and Nichole L. Vinacco, two brothers George and James Fredette, two sisters Paula Dalton and Linda Ezyk, and three loving grandchildren Frank D'Amato Jr., Grace Vinacco and Katherine Fredette. He was a brother of the late Russell Fredette and Anita Gagnon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Ambrose Church, 191 School Street, Lincoln on Friday at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial with Military Honors will be at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery. Visiting Hours in the J. F. Skeffington Chapel, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence on Thursday from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made for a Scholarship in his name to Bishop Hendricken High School, 2615 Warwick Avenue Warwick, Rhode Island 02889.
