Robert P. Perretta, Sr.

Robert P. Perretta, Sr., of Cranston, would have celebrated his 75th Birthday on Friday, May 5th, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2017 at home. He is survived by his loving wife for almost 50 years, Emilie T. (Farland) Perretta. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Adolph F. and Rose M. (Ciunci) Perretta.

Mr. Perretta was a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service for 40 years. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era and was a member of the East Greenwich Veterans Firemen’s Association, the Tri-City Elks, Lodge #14 and the American Legion Post #64. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards.

Besides his wife he is survived by his son Robert P. Perretta, Jr., his daughter Janet Simas and her husband Gary, his brother Adolph F. Perretta, Jr., his grandchildren: Austin Perretta, Derek, Bret, Brooke and Blaire Simas, nieces and nephews and his dog Coco. He was the brother of the late Jeannette Perretta.

Visitation Wednesday, May 3rd 9:30-11:30am at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich, followed by Committal Prayers and Military Honors at RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
