Robert Alfonse Ruggiero

Robert Alfonse Ruggiero, 73, of Providence, passed away on June 13, 2023, in Johnston, Rhode Island. He was born on October 4, 1949, in Providence to Ralph and Edith Ruggiero. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda. Robert, who cherished being called Uncle by his niece, nephews and their friends, was a kind, gentle and generous person, leaving behind many great memories for those who love him and had the pleasure of meeting him. Robert had many hobbies. He was a great dancer, enjoyed baking, raising flowers, painting and collecting elephant artifacts. He was proud of his extensive collection and loved to show it off to visitors. Robert is survived by his sister, Deborah Sorbara, brother-in-law Mike Sorbara, nephew Sam Sorbara (Valeria, son Savo), nephew David Sorbara (Initra, son Ryan), and niece Monica Sorbara. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Cherry Hill Activity Fund (Cherry Hill Manor Nursing and Rehab Center, Johnston, Rhode Island) in Robert's honor. Rest in peace, Robert.
