Robert A. Travisono
January 2, 1958 - September 25, 2023
Robert ("Bobby", "Trav") A. Travisono, 65, of Providence, RI, unexpectedly passed away of a heart attack on September 25, 2023 while on a short social trip to Miami, Florida.
Bobby is survived by his loving mother Claire "Honey" (Stearns) Travisono of Providence, with whom he lived; his two beloved sons, Robert and his wife, Cinzia, Travisono of Johnston, and Joseph and his wife, Ashley, Travisono of Cranston; his brother Richard and his wife, Susanne and Madison (Bobby's Goddaughter), Travisono of Johnston; his four grandchildren who he totally adored: Sophia, Joseph, Chiara and Christiano; numerous very close cousins and relatives from RI and Kentucky; his two cats; and many, many good friends. He was also preceded in death by his father, Everett A. Travisono, and brother Joseph A. Travisono.
Bobby was the dedicated General Manager of the Foxy Lady in Providence for over 30 years, a job he loved every day with people he worked with who he considered part of his family. He was the former business owner of Two 9 Five Café and Lounge in Providence, RI. Bobby was also a member of the Teamsters Local 251 and Local 271 laborers union for many years.
"Trav" loved all sports, especially the Miami Dolphins and New York Yankees; loved being out in the sun and meeting friends at Scarborough and Misquamicut beach and being when he wasn't working; travelling to Florida; caring for his outside pond and goldfish dedicated to his Dad, Everett; he was a true friend to many people always willing to help them out at any time; he enjoyed getting dressed up and looking sharp; and going to family get-togethers for the holidays. But most of all, he totally loved and looked forward to spending time with his family, mom honey, his sons Bobby Jr. and Joseph, brother Richard, and his grandchildren, never missing a football or baseball game, cheerleading event, birthday or holiday. He was the BEST Dad and Grandpa, Poppa, always making time to regularly see his grandkids, take them for walks on the parkway or just hanging out in the backyard, bringing them some gifts, and always ready to proudly show a photo of or talk about one of sons or the kids to people he came into contact with.
Bobby could be quiet at times but he had an incredible quick wit and dry sense of humor always ready to cleverly respond with a smirk and a brief comment that would definitely make you laugh. He was a good soul who everyone loved, a "one-of-a-kind guy" who will be greatly missed by his close family and friends.
