Roger L. Simone

Roger L. Simone, 80 passed away March 24, 2018. He was the husband of the late Barbara J. (Frederick) Simone. Born in Johnston he was a son of the late Luigi A. and Myrna A. (Black) Simone.

Mr. Simone was a retired Senior Corporate Insurance Specialist for Bank Boston, and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was active in a USAF veterans group which was instrumental in acquiring the first United States Air Force Veteran’s monument in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter in 2017.

He is survived by his son Scott F. Simone and his wife Stephanie and was the proud grandfather to his cherished grandsons, Jacob and Joshua. He was the brother of Rodney Simone.

Committal prayers with military honors will be held on Wednesday March 28 ^th at 11:00 am in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours: Tuesday March 27 ^th from 5-7 pm in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich.
