Ross A. Petteruti

Ross Petteruti died on October 23, 2023 after a swift decline caused by dementia. He was 81. He was the son of Rosindo and Marina Petteruti. He was a graduate of Warwick Vets High School and earned an undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, where he was a member of the Acacia Fraternity. He worked at a number of different companies in Rhode Island, including Rau Fastener, Brown & Sharpe (later Hexagon), and Trico Industries.

Ross played softball into his 70s and took up bowling later in life, rarely missing a game. He coached girls softball and always showed up at his kids' activities as their biggest fan. He was an avid gardener who grew dahlias as big as dinner plates, a meticulous craftsman, and a perpetual tinkerer. He almost always tuned in for Patriots, Red Sox, or Buckeyes games. He loved his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, ice cream, dogs of all kinds, and his cats.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Leah (Ford) Petteruti, his daughters, Mindy (former spouse, Steve) and Amanda (Greg), his son, Michael (former spouse, Nancy), and two grandsons, Cooper and Rory. His family will miss him dearly.

He is predeceased by his parents, sister, Roberta (Petteruti) Avery, and his step-son, Christopher Ford

His funeral and burial will be private.
