Russell P. Ferrara

Russell P. Ferrara, 80, of East Greenwich, passed away joyfully on December 16, 2018.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Joan E. (Hoffer) Ferrara.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Preston and Mary (Pelosi) Ferrara.

Mr. Ferrara was a graduate of Providence College.  He was a certified accountant and owner and operator of RJF Tax Consultants of Lincoln. In addition, he taught accounting at many universities in New England.

He was a devoted Yankees Fan, loved people and anyone who met him was a friend.  He adored his two dogs, Chloe and Rose.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Besides his wife he is survived by three children, Lisa Ferrara, Cheryl Conti and Russell P. Ferrara, Jr., a sister Grace Mills and three granddaughters; Nicole, Jamie and Rachel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, December 21 ^st at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich.  Burial will be private.  Calling hours:  Thursday 5-8pm at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Crossroads of RI.
