In Loving Memory of Sandy Fayne
(September 16, 2023)
The family of Sandy Fayne is deeply saddened to announce her passing on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI, after a brief and unexpected illness. She was surrounded by her loved ones during her final moments.
Sandy, also known as Sandra Elaine Gardner Fayne, was a remarkable woman who was 65 years old. She had recently retired after managing a Shell gas station and store in Barrington, RI after 15 years. Sandy lived in Riverside, RI, together with her son, Nicholas Fayne, and her loyal pet, Wiley. Sadly, her husband, Francis Buddy Fayne, had also passed away earlier in June 2023, and she and Nick lovingly cared for him until his passing.
Sandy will always be remembered for her caring nature and her playful spirit. She loved to host card games and was a competitive poker player. On the weekends, she would prepare delicious meals for her friends and family.
Sandy is survived by her loving sons, George "Randy" Starr and Nicholas Fayne. She is also survived by her mother, Barbara Gardner of Sebastian, Florida; her sister, Cindy Robinson (and her husband David) of Greenville, SC; her brothers, Robert "Robbie" Gardner and Allen Kallel of Bend, Oregon. She had one grandson, Brayden Fayne. Sandy held a special place in the hearts of numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Robert Gardner, who passed away in 2020.
At this time, the family has decided that no public services will be held. Instead, a small gathering of her close family will come together to honor her memory.
If you would like to pay tribute to Sandy's love for animals, memorial donations can be made in her honor to the local animal shelter in your neighborhood. Sandy's compassion for her beloved dogs lives on through your generosity.
Please join us in spirit, celebrating the life of Sandy Fayne, a caring mother, sibling, and friend. She brought joy and love to all who knew her, and she will forever remain in our hearts.
Arrangements entrusted to the J.F. Skeffington Funeral Home and Cremations 925 Chalkstone Avenue Providence.
