Shirley E. Harrington

Shirley E. Harrington, 94, passed away February 3, 2024. She was the wife of the late John J. Harrington. Born in Mount Washington, OH she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Winifred (Fox) Case.

She worked as an administrative assistant for the former New England Telephone Co., retiring in 1985.  She was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and at Our Lady of Mercy Church.

Family was everything to her.

She is survived by two sons John J. Harrington and Stephen H. Harrington and his wife Kathi. She was the mother of the late Timothy P. Harrington.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday February 8th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, East Greenwich. Calling hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org
