Steven W. Barber

Steven W. Barber, 67, passed away February 26, 2025. Born in Warwick he was the son of the late Willard E. and Kathleen E. (Regan) Barber.

He worked at Bostitch for 25 years. Following his retirement from Bostitch he was the owner/ operator of Best Taxi. Steve loved all New England sports teams and was an avid darts player and loved being on the water.

He is survived by three siblings, David A. Barber, Shirley J. Trettenero and Roberta K. Prickett and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  He was brother of the late Willard E. “Skip” Barber, Jr.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday March 13th at 10:00 am in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. If you wish to honor Steve please consider wearing a tie dye shirt, as he loved wearing them.

Memorial donations in Steve’s memory may be made to the Office of Advancement, UMass Memorial Medical Center, 333 South St. Shrewsbury, MA 01545 (payable to UMMF). If you wish to donate specifically to the Transplant Patient Assistance Fund, please note this on the memo of the check.
