It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Packer Zahora, 67, of Coventry, formerly of North Kingstown, on Tuesday, May 31st.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Martha (Hall) Packer. She was the oldest sister to Ellen (Steve) Woodworth of Kenton, Delaware and James (Joan) Packer of Wayne, PA..
She was the loving and devoted mother to her children, Jennifer Hagerty and her husband Scott of North Kingstown, Kimberly Zahora of Warwick, and Tracy Zahora of Coventry. She was the proud Me-Ma to Brandon and Bryce Hagerty.
Sue was retired after working 18 years for the North Kingstown School Dept. She was gracious, kind, and was always thinking of others and putting their needs first. Her greatest joys were vacationing in Brielle, NJ and Eagle Camp on Lake Champlain with her family. Her hobbies included gardening and dog walks with friends. She was an avid Red Sox fan and watched every inning of every game (3 World Series)!!!!!
A heartfelt thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, and staff at RI Hospital and Hospice of Nurse Placement, you made her final days comfortable and full of dignity. What you do truly is a special calling and is something that we will never forget.
Calling hours will be Friday, June 10th 4-5pm with words of remembrance at 5:00pm at the Hill Funeral Home on 822 Main St, East Greenwich.
