Terry R. Kelley

Terry R. Kelley  August 18, 1947 - February 27, 2023

It is with an outpouring of love that we celebrate the life of Terry Robinson  Kelley who passed away on Feb 27, 2023.  She was born in Salisbury, MD, moving to North Kingstown, RI as a child where she spent the remainder of her life.  She graduated from North Kingstown High School and School of Cosmetology in Providence, RI.  Hair dressing was her vocation and she loved her work; her clients became her friends. Terry’s greatest joy was helping other people and she gave generously of her time to family, friends and anyone who asked.  She donated to many charities and was a former volunteer at Habitat for Humanity in South County.

She was very creative and enjoyed making Christmas stockings for the children in her life. We all remember how she loved shopping and was on a first name basis with most of the local shop owners, who of course, became her friends.  She was always beautifully dressed and had an open and warm personality to match.  During the summer days Terry could be found at one of RI’s beaches with a lunch packed for herself and fellow sun lovers.

Friends and family are welcome to leave uplifting comments and fond memories.  In lieu of flowers, donations for a memorial bench in Wickford, where she loved to shop, can be made. Or gifts could be made in her memory to your local no-kill animal shelter.

Terry was predeceased by her parents Barbara and Bernard Robinson.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews who affectionately knew her as Te; Melissa McDougal, Michaela Dallaire, Monique Muir, Elizabeth Kelley, Dan (Horus) Kelley, Jeff Kelley, and David Kelley, 3 great nieces, 9 great nephews, and her sister-in-law, Angela Holland and many, many close friends.
