Thomas J. Ferreira

Ferreira, Thomas Joseph, age 92, of East Greenwich, R.I., passed on December 6, 2020. He was the son of Joseph and Clara Ferreira. Tom was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Clementina Caetano Ferreira. Tom was a very talented man and his artistic abilities were manifested in his music, photography, and carpentry. Coming from poor beginnings with few opportunities, he had to work very hard to achieve what he did and his family was very proud of him.

Tom and Clem spent many years attending events at the Cranston Portuguese Club with their friends. He was also a member of the Rod and Gun Club and the Carpenter’s Union.

Tom is survived by his daughters, Diane (Mark) Russo, Susanne (Richard) Archambault, and Dr. Lisa Ferreira. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nadia Archambault, Erin Gardner, and Manuel Ferreira, and his great-grandchildren Daniel and Nora Gardner. He is also survived by his brother, Edward Bernardino.

Due to Covid 19, funeral services will be private. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church in East Greenwich on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 11 am. You may participate in this mass through live stream at www.olmparish.org . In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice may be made. A reception will be held by the family at a later date.

Thomas is now reunited with the love of his life, Clementina. They are loved and missed, but they will live in our hearts forever.
