Todd J. Youngs

Todd Jeffrey Youngs (53), of East Greenwich, RI, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018. Todd was born in Mineral Wells, Texas and raised in Middletown, NY and was the son of Richard and Joyce Youngs. He is survived by his wife June Youngs, son Ryan Youngs and his parents. He is also survived by his sister Jodi, as well as brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. In addition, Todd leaves behind much loved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, dear close friends and neighbors.

Todd truly lived life to the fullest! He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling in Europe, the U.S. and throughout New England, while making memories on the beaches and ski mountains. A special destination close to his heart was Montauk, Long Island, where a lot of precious family memories were made. Todd had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. He cared about everyone. He was always able to light up any room he walked into. His laughter and humor will be deeply missed.

He was the Director of Supply Chain Operations for Incredible Foods in Boston, Massachusetts. Todd also taught as an adjunct professor at Bryant University. Prior, he was the Senior Manager of Operations at Kraft/Nabisco for 29 years in East Hanover, New Jersey. Todd was passionately involved in East Greenwich and at his son’s school - Our Lady of Mercy. He enjoyed a previous position teaching there, loved the students, and was especially passionate about coaching basketball.

Family and friends, as well as others whose lives Todd touched are invited to the Hill Funeral Home to reminisce, celebrate, grieve, and support each other. Having his family and friends together would have been what Todd would have wanted.

A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday January 17 ^th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, East Greenwich. Calling hours: Tuesday January 16 ^th from 3-7 pm in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich.

Todd was a caring, active member of the Our Lady of Mercy School. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Todd Youngs’ memory to: Saints and Scholars Fund of Our Lady of Mercy School, 65 Third St., East Greenwich, RI 02818. In addition, to honor Todd’s passion as a coach, the family will be making a significant donation to the fund to help renovate the gymnasium at the school, in memory of Todd.
